I bought this straightener three years ago. It worked very well, I really enjoyed how fast it could straighten. I did try to straighten it when it was wet, but I don't recommend it because afterwards your hair smells burnt. But other than that it is good. This year though, the ceramic plates have started to turn a brownish-black color. I began to straighten my hair on its normal setting, and my hair sizzled and burned. I guess it just got old. But if you're looking for a short term straightener that is fast, this is a good match.
