The most common use of blow drying is getting volume into a hairstyle. Keep these style tips in mind to make the blowdry easier: Have your hair tools ready, there’s nothing like starting up the drier only to realize that your brush is in another room. For great volume, make sure that you use the straight nozzle on your hair dryer, a round brush and some protective serum. A great way to organize yourself is actually sitting down in front of the mirror. This way you can place the blow dryer down on the vanity while you brush sections of your hair. If you don’t have a vanity, using a chair is fine, but make sure not to warm up your legs too much! For volume, take large sections of your hair and brush them up away from your head while you point the hair dryer at your roots. Drying your roots before the rest of your hair will give you more lift. Avoid brushing too much, while you do have a brush in your hand to help give more volume to your do, don’t brush out all of the strands. Brushing makes hair flat and will undo all of the work of putting lift into your hair.
