Stop the Breakage in Hair Straightening |
|
The breakage in hair straightening treatment means the hair was over-processed. If the stylist who did your hair is not a expert, your scalp would not be flaky at all, because the product was never supposed to touch your scalp in the first place. The product is great only if used correctly.
Once hair is damaged, it can't really be repaired. But you can re-condition it and make it better by following the steps above. At least it will buffer the damage, and make your hair look healthy, keep it from breaking off, until you grow out the damage. 1. You need to do protein treatments as soon as possible to stop the breakage. Use some conditioner, just like Nexxus or Joico K-Pak deep penetrating reconstructor, also a protein treatment. Do the protein treatment once a week for the next 4 weeks, until you see improvement. After that, do them only once a month. Use soft shampoo, and change the smooth down conditioner to the Smooth down butter treat. Doing the protein treatments is very important as your deep condition, otherwise your hair will feel like straw. 2. To deep condition, just put on the Butter treat, cover your hair with a plastic cap and go under a dryer or heat cap for 15-20 minutes. If you don't have a head dryer or heat cap, then try applying heat with the hair dryer or simply keep the plastic cap on to create some heat. You need the heat to open up the hair cutticle so the protein and the conditioner can penetrate. 3. What kind of hair straightener are you using? If is not a professional 100% ceramic hair straightener, get rid of it now! It will keep killing your hair. If you were using a cheap hair straightener before you got the treatment, then your hair was in bad shape to begging with. So that made matters worst. You need to get a professional hair straightener, like either a Sedu or a Solia. Get the one inch. The smaller ones are better. Your hair, will be soft, shiny, smooth, frizz free and it will stay like that until your next wash. Do not wash your hair every day, wash only 3 times a week. |

Hi my mother's hair have completely been damaged after hair straightening. Product used was Loreal extenso but the technique went a failure. Her hair look unhealthy brittle and 100% damaged. I dont think there is any way of improment unless the hair is chopped off but that would look even horrible. Is there any way that within a month's time atleast they get manageable. Are there any serums etc. I have her her Loreal hair protein therapy and spa per week from a very good parlour. What else can be done? Please help. Please!
