As a result, this hair straightener will easily deliver even heat distribution to your hair for true silky straight result in lesser amount of time.
The unique dynamic alignment system will also work as a pressure equalizer (TM) to equalize the pressure throughout the plates during straightening process. This eliminates any specific pressure point on the plates hence the straightener can work through the hair smoothly without pulling. Straightening your hair has never been easier and more enjoyable!
Ceramic/Tourmaline Ion Technology
Tourmaline, a precious stone, is used to generate up to 6 times more negative ions than traditional ceramic hair straightener. Combined with ceramic technology, generates extra negative ions and gentle far-infrared heat for soft, smooth, frizz-free silky straight hair without heat damage.
Great Straightener for Salon Result reviewed by Bela D from Cleveland, on Sep 30, 2009
This Solia hair straightener is absolutely the best one I've ever used in my life. My hair becomes very smooth, and very shiny after straightening with this solia. plus, it does no harm to my hair. It's really worth my money, for its great salon result. It's definitely worth the recommendation.

I used GHD hair straightener in the past, it worked not bad for almost half year, and then it just stopped getting hot, so I bought this Solia instead. Using this Solia hair straightener for more than 7 months, I think it's better than my last GHD hair straightener. The most flexible is that Solia has variable temperature, I could choose it's working temperature on my hair; I usually choose much lower temperature in case getting my hair feared. This is really a good hair straightener I want.
it has its good and bad, reviewed by caroline from whereever, on Dec 29, 2008 2 of 2 people think this review is helpful
ok.
so ive used this straightener for 3 years now. it is good if you have really curly haiir and want it straight. but mine kind of gets my hair all static and a little frizzy soo i put products in it before and after. it does its job and rips out haiir if your not careful. i remember i used to use my sisters old one and it worked soo much better but this one (updated version) seems a little worse. But anyhow it makes my hair piin straight and If you spend a little time on it it'll stay in for the whole day. ooh yeah and it does damage your hair like every other straightener.
I have used every straightener possible! reviewed by courtney baby, on Dec 4, 2008 14 of 14 people think this review is helpful
Well Ive tried every single straightener out there, ive tried Chi, 3 straighteners from sallys, Wal Mart striaghteners, Sedu, and now Solia.. Im seriously a straightener finatic and Solia is thee best straightener yet :) I love the way it makes my hair feel. The very first day I used it people thought I was wearing extensions!! My hair is medium length, naturally frizzy, poofy and semi curly but most of all its HIGHLY damaged.. but Solia smooths out all of the kinks and leaves it frizzless. I would definately suggest this straightener! I got mine from folica and it was only $85 which is really cheap for a nice straightener.
DONT buy a Chi or a straightener from a stand in the mall!! EVER.
bad bad bad news..
Love It! reviewed by n/a, on Sep 13, 2008 3 of 4 people think this review is helpful
I have had this straightner for four year after I saw it online and bought it. I bought it because the overall reviews seemed good and it was not as expensive as the others with good ratings. I have lots of fine wavy/curly hair and this gets it perfectly straight. I have used it on all types of hair, even thick coarse hair and it works great. I get ready in a locker room every morning and use it on the highest setting so mine sees alot of wear and tear and it still works like new. It takes 30 seconds to heat up and its ready. The only thing is that I would recommend a protector because it does get very hot and that can damage your hair.
Great straigthening Iron reviewed by Matt from New-Brunswick, Canada, on Jul 3, 2007 39 of 48 people think this review is helpful
When I buyed this Straightening Iron, I felt in love with it for many reasons.
GOOD SIDES :
So to begin with, this iron heats really fast. In under 30 seconds, it is ready to use. So you can turn it on while you brush your hair after a good blow dry through them.
I have thick brown hair (have some aboriginal ancestors) and it is very very very stubborn and curly. I can't tell you how many strokes I had to p****through that hair with a regular ceramic coated straightener from a popular convenient store.
What I really appreciate from Solia is that you see the difference at the first stroke. They really get straight and the best thing about it is that they shine and looks healthy along the way.
BAD SIDES :
As nice your hair is with that iron, I don't think it is meant to be for all types of hair. I would recommend this iron for thiner hair. Maybe it's because I bought the thinner version (3/4 inch since I have medium length hair), but it doesn't work as well with me as my roommate. She had thinner hair and the results on hers were a lot better. I heard that comment a lot from other reviewers also. So Solina = not so much for thick hair !
I noticed after a month or two that there was some creaking sound coming out of the handle (and yeah...really noticeable). I hope this will not affect my product in any way.
TIPS AND SUGGESTIONS :
The first thing I would suggest the user is to find the right temperature for her/his hair. Highest and lowest temperature are not recommended since it will either not give results or make your hair frizzy and dried out. Once you find the temperature, you'll see the great results from your Solina iron. It took me a couple of try to find mine, but boy it looks good now.
Maximum heat is not good to both your hair and your straightener and will never be ! You know how the motor of a car gets scrapped from topping speed ? The same goes for anything else at it's max potential. I would suggest you to buy another straigtener if you plan using this one at 450 degrees. Be careful with your hair also ! If you buy a straightener, it's because you care how it looks...So treat your hair with care.
For beginners, practice makes masters. Even if the first time you use it you don't like the results, you'll get the hang of it at one point and it'll look great ! It's just a matter of habit, coordination and control of your hand :).
