I agree with the rest of the posts here. I've had this straightener for about nine months and while I guess mine lasted more than others, the fuse is now blown and I'm in the market for another one. When it worked, it was a good straightener, but now its junk.

i got this straightner in august 2007 it is now march 2008 and my fuse already blew, i woudlnt spend money on this one

Don't waste your money!!

Total Ripoff!! I've had this straightener for a little over a year, and the fuse has just started to go. It's turning on and off and letting off sparks. I couldn't understand what went wrong until I read the reviews and found out that other people are having the EXACT same problem! Also, I barely used it!! Before it started to break down, it felt very flimsy. I had a $40 Hot Tools that lasted longer!! What a waste of money.

This is an awful straightener. I've had it for about a year and a half and its broken 4 times. The fuse blows out everytime. Dont buy this, its not worth your money.

Although from the description the Sedu seems great, I would strongly reccomend AGAINST it. The fuse blew out after only a couple of months. For the price you are paying it is very much not worth it. Also it does not keep your hair straight for as long as everyone says. Although it may depend on your hair type my hair began to frizz up even on the first day. Again I advise you to look elsewhere for a hair straightener.
