DON'T BUY... CORD PROBLEMS
reviewed by VP from Chicago, on Oct 20, 2009
| |
| This iron works well, IF it were to work... had problems with it about year after buying it. Noticed cuts on the cord and fixed them with electrical tape. Now the cord completely tore off at the base and company won't replace it because it is beyond the two year warranty. Folks, how many electrical cords on any of your hair care products have EVER done this? A good company would stand behind their product. This one doesn't. Buy something else. | |

| This is my second Sedu (so shame on me) but it has the same problem as the last. After a year of use, the electical connetion goes out. Thought it was my fault the first time. I know better now. It costs way too much to have to replace every year. Don't make my mistake... | |
Ok, but not great

| I bought a Sedu because I read a lot of great reviews for it. I received it about 2 weeks ago and have used it everyday since then. Although it is better than my cheap Walmart flat iron, it isn't quite what I was expecting. It still takes the same amount of time to straighten my hair and I can't seem to get the body that I used to get. Although it makes my hair feel a little softer and smoother than the cheap straighteners, it takes quite a bit of work to get my hair straight. | |
not a big difference

| I don't know how everyone else is cutting their straightening time down from 30-45 minutes to 5 minutes. That is not the case for me. It takes me just as long with the Sedu as it did with my Revlon. There is no way there could possibly be such a huge time difference. I bought the straightener because my cheap one was damaging my hair, not to lessen straightening time. The Sedu does seem to keep my hair in better condition, but as for the quality or time spent straightening, I don't really see a significant difference. | |

i got this for my birthday in may of 2008 and absoluetly LOVED it. it was so amazing. and when id use a straightner that wasnt sedu it just didnt work right. but now in november 2008, it broke. and wont turn on.
i dont know if its worth the money if it just breaks over a short period of time. im disappointed with the fact that it doesnt work because i loved so much. im not influencing you to get it or not. just telling you what happens. (:

| Yeah i haven't tried it but i will i read other reviews on another site and there were alot that were good it just seemed that all the people who had problems with their sedu flat iron came on this site. You might of dropped it accidently in the water or sombody else messed with it or it might have just messed up its self but im jus sayin some of you other people looking at these reviews and other good reviews need to try and see if it works on your own because that was there and when you get ours it is yours this is only a fraction of the people who bought this product | |

| Do NOT buy this straightener!!! I was so excited to get one because my friend loved hers and, like the other reviews, the fuse blew within a MONTH. I know a few other people that the same thing happened to them. It is not worth the $100+ spent on it - you would be better off spending $20 on a cheaper model that can do the same thing. I will most definitely NEVER buy from this company again! | |

| well i got this straigtener for christmas in 2006 and it just broke this last june because, like everyone else, the fuse blew. a year and a half really isnt a good life for a straightner so that was a big dissapointment. other than that it straightened my hair perfectly. | |
hot?...NOT.

it didn't straighten my hair right and made it shiny. the longest it would stay straight was 20 minutes.

| I've had Sedu straightenerS for a few years. And while it's working it is an amazing straightener, which is why I kept getting a new one, but I think I've probably had over five or more. Atleast one or two a year. And this time, the fuse blew in less than 2 weeks...I'm fed up with it breaking all the time. Does anyone have a reccommendation for another super good straightener? | |
LOVED IT <3

I'm not sure what everyone is talking about because I've had this straightner for about 2 years and it's still in great shape, never broke or anything & I use it EVERYDAY , as does my sister. We both loveeee it as do all my friends who've used it :)
So it's definitley worth the money!

| I love this straightener. My friend had one and I used it and instantly wanted it. It made my hair straight for hours and i mean pin straight. Yes, the price is high but the quality of the product is worth it. I recommend it to any girl who straightens their hair for more that a half an hour in the morning because with the sedu, it'll take you five minutes. I love my sedu:) | |
Not a good value

| I agree with the rest of the posts here. I've had this straightener for about nine months and while I guess mine lasted more than others, the fuse is now blown and I'm in the market for another one. When it worked, it was a good straightener, but now its junk. | |

| Total Ripoff!! I've had this straightener for a little over a year, and the fuse has just started to go. It's turning on and off and letting off sparks. I couldn't understand what went wrong until I read the reviews and found out that other people are having the EXACT same problem! Also, I barely used it!! Before it started to break down, it felt very flimsy. I had a $40 Hot Tools that lasted longer!! What a waste of money. | |
