its a great price and it works

| i bought this straightener about two years ago.and havent had to replace it. it straightens my fantastically. i try not to use it with my hair wet because it isnt really all that good for it but when i have it took a little longer but it came out even straighter. i have thick coarse wavy hair and it makes it look thick fine and ultra straight.it is 24.22 online at walmart. i had a 200 dollar chi and it shorted out on me within 6 months. those of you say you dont like it and that it doesnt work need to be patient and separate out sections of your hair into small sections and then try slowly, because it doers work. if you cant make it work not even a chi will work for you, so good luck with your wavy, curly, or whatever hair. | |

| I put up with this straightener for about 5 months. My hair isn't very thick or curly, but it still seemed like it took forever to straighten. About 45 minutes average! I had to s-l-o-w-l-y clamp down on each strand of hair (which was pretty small I'd say) and it just took waaay too long to work. It left my hair frizzy, poofy, and not straightened. Not to mention that "wet-2-straight" must mean "dry-2-straight" because I tried straightening damp-ish hair with it and it completely burnt my hair. And man does that handle get HOT! I guess you get what you pay for though : | |

Soft, Unfrizzy, Tamed Hair

| My daughter and I have thick, ringlet curls, that tend to be frizzy and puffy when we get out of water (i.e.shower, ocean). We have both found the Remington to be the best thing we have tried (that includes a chi). I also agree that product is key. Our hair has been trained to become less curly and frizzy from being straightned wet-to-dry. My hair is not "frying" and actually seems healthier than ever. I would recommend this product to anyone. Follow the directions for heat and use Loreal Studio Straightening Cream, sleek and shine (it's like an oil) (both applied to hair before straightening). Good Luck! | |

| This straightener worked miracles on my naturally straight, but very fine hair that would turn static on me during a day. With this appliance I look stylish with shiny, straight hair, and they remain this way throughout the day just as fresh looking as in the morning. I would recommend this to everyone with somewhat straight hair, because I simply cannot speak for those with curls. | |

I bought this straightener and I was hoping for really good results. It was about $40 and the professional ones were about $100 so I didn't know what I was to expect at all.
I have medium thick hair that is wavy, frizzy, and coarse. I hate my hair!!! And, the wierd thing is I used to have naturally straight hair too. Anyway, that's why I bought a straightener. [LOL] When I used it I tried it on dry hair but there wasn't much affect. Then, I tried it on wet hair and the thing would sizzle and I could smell my hair burning. It was awful and I didn't even get straight hair. It just got more frizzy and wierd. So I HATE this stupid straightner and I reccomend you don't use it unless you want to get fried and waste your money[:

| I bought this straightener as a tempory straightener when my Maxi Glide broke. Since it was only $40, I thought it wouldn't work good on my thick, curly hair, and I was only going to use it until I had a chance to buy a more expensive, professional one. Point in case, that was last February and I'm still using my Remington. It works better than I ever imagined. I'm getting the Kiyoseki and I only hope it works as good as this one. | |

| I absolutely love this straightener! It works amazing on my hair, and my hair is really thick. Don't even think about using it when it's wet, it's really not meant for that. Dry hair, and then use it. I'm sure you'll have better results. I LOVE IT! | |

| well, i just bought this straightner today and i do have to say that i think that whether a hair straightner works or not really depends ALOT on the hair products you are USING to help straighten your hair. I am hoping that this straightner works well for me so will post again when i use it. I do agree though that using this product on wet hair is a no-no. Especially on really course and wavy hair! | |

First of all, everyone is saying ooh omg it burned my hair when i tried to straighten it when it was weeet. Oh nooo. Personally I actually like this straightener. It says Wet2Straight, but you aren't suppose to do that. Just because ooh new advancements in technology or w/e say we've made this product so you can straighten your hair without frying it! Doesn't mean it's for real. Maybe they thought so, but it will usually always fry your hair. ESPECIALLY SINCE THE WET SETTING IS THE HIGHEST SETTING. Don't use it on wet hair then. I use it when mine was wet, My hair was soft, but puffy. It works reallly good when it's dry, though.
I don't think any flat iron is possible to keep your hair straight in real humidity for forever even though they claim to. Don't be like OOO DIS PRODUT B DUH SUXXORZ just cause it's frizzy 50 minutes later. There's no miracle worker out there. Over all this is a pretty good straightener. : )
Great Straightener

| This straightener is great! I love it. I usually wait about half an hour after I wash my hair to use this straightener and it straightens perfectly. I couldn't ask for more. The people who say its really bad and it burns your hair, you are using it on a heat setting that is way too high and/or you do not know how to use it. This is actually better for your hair than other regular straighteners because it has a drying function. | |

um so you guys are really dumb
no straightener can "kill" your hair cause all your hair is already dead, and the only part thats actually living is the roots. so get over the whole "MY HAIR IS FRYING MY HAIR IS DEAD" no one cares. if you care so much about your own hair and keep spending hundreds of dollars for hair straighteners you might AS well just go to the salon and get a relaxer or havethem do a chemically straight treatment which lasts 3 months about THINK
Good Straightener

| I have used many straighteners, and with my hair being sooooo very thick and curly, this is one of the few that has done such a good job. The complaints have been about it frying your hair....it does have an adjustment in order to turn the heat down. This is the whole point of having the temperature adjustment on it! Common sense will tell you that if it is frying your hair, turn the temp down until it suits your hair type. I have used all of the major brands, and I have to say that I like this one better than the Chi. It is much faster to style my hair with. I can style it with this in 15 minutes compared to 45 with a Chi and some other expensive brands. I just bought a new Revlon which I have not been able to try out yet, and they do not have this one listed for review as of now. I'll let ya know how this one works if they update their products on this site. | |

| At first I loved it because it heated up so fast. But then i realized how it KILLED MY HAIR. This is designed for wet or dry hair. If you straighten it wet, it will make your hair totally dried out. It does have great results but it takes me forever to do it. I have thicky, curly hair. It takes me about 2 hours. The second I walk outside..POOF! It starts to curl. I only reccomend this product for people with wavy hair or thin hair. If you have curly hair, this is not for you . :] | |
I love it alot!!!

I love this straightener because it heats up fast and it doesn't fry my hair.
Most people on here say negative things about it but I truly think it is a really good investment. All my friends have used it and they say that it is the most magnificent straightener they have ever used. I have naturally wavy hair and it takes all the waves and just ,well, straightens them!!! I got my hair cut the other day and I was told my hair was the healthiest out of all the girls she had seen in a long time...I have had this straightener for about a year and my hair is just fine.
