| I bought this stupid thing off of the informercial and loved it. After using it every other day for approximately 5 months I noticed that when I put it down it was changing the temps on me and then after a few more uses it burned off a piece of my hair and then stopped working. Luckily it was underneath where it's not noticable but it still sucks seeing how I spent $140 bucks on it. Before that I had a Helen of Troy straightener and had it for 10 years and still works great even after being dropped a lot. Looks like I'm going back to my trusty Helen of Troy. | |
Kiyoseki Styler

| This thing burned out on me after 3 weeks. Mind you, they already charged me even though it was on a free trial basis. I called them, they said I have to wait until they send me the shipping label, which took another 3 weeks, and they charged me again. That was at the end of November. It's now January, I've been charged twice, never received a replacement, and oh yeah, my hair is breaking. It hasn't broken since the spiral perm I got in 1989 but it sure is breaking now. BBB is getting my letter tomorrow. | |

5 Uses and it won't turn on

| Received this item for xmas. Loved what it did to my hair!! I had finally found a product that made my long, course, thick hair straight and smooth. But after the 5th use it wouldn't turn on. Very unhappy about that. After reading all these reviews, I'm wondering how this company can keep selling these if they continue to go KAPUT on people. I noticed too, where the 'on/off' button and temp up/down button are placed, it easily can be hit by your hand. I turned my off accidently a couple times. Don't waste your money on this product. Too many not so good things come along with it if you do!! | |

| I believe that everyone who purchased this product should contact the BBB, FTC, the state attorney general for Kiyoseki's HQ, and any other consumer protection group. As for the positive reviews for this product, I suspect they've been written by Kiyoseki employees. | |

| My hair was just growing in after surgery and I was eager to HAVE hair to straighten. I guess I saw this on an infomercial and it seemed like the best. I may have used it 4 times, perhaps 5, and on hair about 2 inches long, and only for approximately 5 minutes each time and then I unplugged it. Finally, my hair is long enough to use the dang thing and it just Pfsst! ...stops working. And yes, same deal, they'll send another for $20. What a rip off. I'm writing David Horowitz or whomever does consumer help on products such as this. TOTAL RIP OOOFFFFF!!!!!!! | |
CL****ACTION LAWSUIT

| I am a 32 year old woman. My hair is naturally wavy> I have been doing my own hair since I was in the third grade so believe me I know how to handle heat. Bottom line by day 45 the temp would fluctuate while it wasnt even in my hand! It would always land back on the temp I had originally set. By day 55 it fried a nice orange strip into my BEAUTIFUL hair in less than 2 seconds as it takes NO effort to get my hair straight on the first pass. I have cut the dead hair off to the scalp on my temple. The iron is awesome while it works I even recommended it to a friend. Admittedly the design flaws of the temp setting can be tricky but the ELECTRICAL system in the iron IS FAULTY. The customer service is terrible to make matters worse but dont worry. I have returned the iron disputed the charges as fraud and would will be contacting a lawyer to review my options. There are too many ladies complaining of singed hair and lost refunds on a faulty product. Something aint right and I am not stop stopping at this blog. If you are interested in my legal research shoot me an email with HAIR in the subject field. | |

| I bought my Kiyoseki 7 months ago and have loved it. I have thick, wavy dark hair and was pleased to finally find a product that makes my hair straight, shiny and sleek. Yesterday I went to do my hair and it wouldn't turn on. I have tried to contact customer service and have only recieved a recorded message "due to the high volume of calls you will have to call back later" .... I paid $140 for the product and have felt it has been worth every penny up to this point. A hair tool for that amount of money should last much longer than 7 months. I am highly disappointed with the life of the product and even more so with the customer service. I wouldn't recommend this high priced product to anyone. | |

| Don't buy it. 1st time I got this product I was very happy to have it only to have it not heat up within 1st 30 days. Sent it back for replacement. Took a while to get it, but within the 1st week the styler stopped working again. Since I sent 2nd one back have been waiting for 2 months for a replacement and still didn't get it. Should have asked for money back if I knew this was to happen. Don't waste your money on this! It is a cheap plastic not worth $12 let alone $120! | |
HORRIBLE!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR $$$

| Unbelievably bad. I've had this thing replaced by customer service FOUR TIMES. And each time the same thing happens. I should preface this by saying that I'm extremely gentle with it and don't use it everyday. It works for a couple of months... just long enough for the warrantee to expire. Then it just stops working. All four of mine reached a point where the K-Styler wouldn't turn on. I tried plugging into other outlets. I tried to find a "reset switch." Something is faulty in the electrical and it's terribly designed. Customer service says they'll replace it for another $20. I won't spend one more penny on this horrendous product. Potential buyers...BE WARNED!!! Your fate will be the same as everyone else here. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!!! | |

| OMG! I purchased my silver Kstyler in April, and just loved it. I have African American/Irish, Native American hair. Yes- my hair is thick, long and curly. Not to mention, tempermental. I used the Kstyler at the highest setting, for thick hair. But first after shampooing and conditioning I blow dried my hair with Conair (purple) Ionic dryer and then used my Maxiglide steam flat iron. Then I used my Kstyler to achieve silkier straighter and shinier hair. Then I used a light mist of hair spray for hold. As I mentioned I have tempermental hair. But just the other month, November- It decided to Phst!! Pop on me. Gone baby gone! I want it back, but not for another $20 for an already paid warranty. I'm considing Hai Straighteners. I hate having to start a whole new relationship! But to avoid spending another $150, I just might fork over another $20. | |

| I wondered if it would be right for me as i often have to straighten the crazy curly and wavy bits which stick up from under my fringe. After reading that it goes over 200 degress c, breaks and has bad customer service I'm staying right away. I get split ends from straightening my hair often on 160 which is the lowest my remington goes to so I cant begin to imagine what the kiyoseki would do to my hair. I've only used remington but thats what seems to be good enough for me and my friends and less expensive | |

| I am looking for the customer service number because this iron burnt my hair by heating up on its own to over 400 degrees, then one day cut off and never cut back on. I paid $149.00 for this iron! Please if you have a customer service phone number; send it to my email address kimkelly102867@yahoo.com. Thanking you in advance, Kim Kelly | |

| This product is a nightmare. At first I thought it was great until the temperature control shot up and fried the top of my hair which now measures about two inches. I called the company and they said they would send a return label but I still have not received since a month ago. If you have any sense do not buy. This company should be reported to the attorney generals office for taking out money and giving us crap. | |
