Great while it works.....

| This was the best iron I have ever tried--until it quit working. I've had it for less than three months, then poof! won't power on anymore. Why would they charge you $20 to ship it back if they stand behind their product!? It was great while it lasted. I just hope I can find another iron with the same results...WITH A COMPANY THAT DOESN'T SELL $120 PIECES OF CRAP THAT BREAK WITH A LOUSY WARANTY! 60 days? Come on now, what is that all about Kiyoseki? STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! "Don't listen to the bad reviews..." Okay honey, we'll see what you're saying when YOURS breaks. Bye bye gorgeous hair. PS, I did my research before I bought. Wish I had seen this site.... | |
Kiyoseki not worth the money

| I have the professional silver edition and the second time I used it I notice the silver started fading off. I have had it for a month now and the silver at the top is almost completly off. I would not have expected this from a $130 flat iron. It does heat up very fast and does very well with straighting and curling but U could could get the same results from a cheaper flat iron there is no magic to this one. The buttons are in the way so yes the tempature could go up and down by your hands accenditly hitting the buttons. And for those with thin hair this could cause damage. I say save your money the Kiyoseki is no worth $130. I have had cheaper flat irons that work just as well if not better. | |

| I've had my iron for 3-mths and LOVE it. My hair finally does what I have always wanted. I live in severe humidity in the summer, and have naturally curly hair, which osesn't mix. My hair looks like my hairdresser did my hair! I LOVE it and have never had any of the problem some people have talked about. It is a great product | |

| I have to call again in the morning to send this product back. It worked the first time for several weeks than it shut off and wouldn't work again. They sent me a pre-postage to return it. I got the new one in and it worked now for about a month and cut off in the middle of doing my hair and won't turn back on again. I don't want to try a 3rd one. Hopefully they will give me my money back. | |

I ordered this flat iron and did not receive it. My credit card was still charged for the first payment. I called them a month ago to dispute this matter and was reassured I'd be reimbursed once they have received the flat iron back. Well, they apparently still do not have it...so I was informed that my card will be charged yet again! UNLESS - "I" get in touch with the Canadian Post Office and get them a tracking number! What a joke!
This is nothing but a scam and the fact that it is endorsed by Carmen Electra makes me think she is trash! How embarrassing.

| I bought this after my three daughters saw the infomercial and we loved it at first, but always had a problem witht he temp going up, yes i was hitting it with my fingers but could not find a way to hold it with out doing so. As a result of that I burnt my daughters bangs. We have had it for over 6 months and now guess what.... it won't turn on. very dissapointed and now to find out that this is happening to others and we were lucky to have it last so long!! I will not buy another and would not recommend this product to any one else. The K styler is crap! | |

| I can't say enough great things about this flat iron! I have read some of the negative reviews and until I got used to holding the Kiyoseki properly, I also hit the temperature button and inadvertently changed the setting. Because there is a color difference at different temperatures, you should notice immediately if you accidently make it hotter. I generally use it at a heat setting of 300 degrees and have not burned my hair. I have used mine for just over 6 months and I have hair that is about 5 inches longer than shoulder length. In the past, I could never wear long hair styles and be happy with how my hair looked once I walked out of the house. As a bonus, I no longer have trouble with split ends either. I have very curly, naturally curly hair and this tool gives me the hair that I have always dreamed of. When I left work today, it was raining and my hair got pretty wet by the time I got to my car. When it dried, it wasn't as straight as it was this morning but at least I didn't look like a frizz-head. I can live really with this! | |

| This iron burnt a chunk of my hair off. It also does not power on anymore. I purchased the $140 pro model. I am not investing the $19.99 to ship it back and wait 8 weeks for it to be replaced and have to repeat the entire cycle over and over again. If they stood behind their product...they would pay the shipping. DONT PURCHASE. If you are going to spend this kind of money.....get a reputable brand. Kiyoseki is not quality. | |

| I purchased this iron. I like many others saw the infomercial. I wanted to try something new. It worked but I would always smell burnt hair. Eventually, it burned a large chunk of my hair off. It now does not power on......totally dead. I have the Professional Model and paid the $140 for it. I am not investing $19.99 and send it away for replacement to happen in 6-8 weeks and then have to keep repeating this process. If they stood behind their product, they would pick up the shipping costs. Unbelieveable, but lesson learned. BUYER BEWARE. | |

| I've had mine for 2 weeks and im sending it back. it worked GREAT, just like the commercial. but, one day when i was using it it just turned off and stopped working. and YES, i read all the directions, i was EXTREMELY gentle with it, i did everything i was supposed to, but it still turned off. i even tried it in all my outlits in my house. So, i called the people and im getting a refund. although the product doesn't work, they have great costumer service. hope this helped. im planning on getting the sedu instead, hope i dont run into any similar problems. | |

I purchased the flat iron while watching tv. Unfortunately I didn't get to read the reviews. The product looked and worked wonderful. I bought it to take with me on vacation. Nothing was wrong with my Chi iron but the Kiyoseki looked so great that I thought, why not? Big mistake! It actually worked for only one day and couldn't use it after that. Since I was gone for over a month and busy after getting home, I didn't contact them until close to the 60 days guarantee. I didn't have anyone get back to me so I called again. When I finally spoke to someone to ask for a refund I was told that my 60 days were over. I was four days over my 60 days!

| I have had the Kiyoseki straightener for over a week now and I am sending mine back. It is hard to hold without changing the temperature. Also it doesn't hold the style until you wash your hair like they say it does. I wouldn't recmmond any of it. My Wal-Mart straightener works better and it was cheaper. | |
Stops working, no good grip handle

| Stopped working once, sent it back for a replacement. I had to call and solicit replacement because apparently they forgot about me. Not only does the temperature device have a mind of its own, it's hard to hold the gadget without accidentally changing the temp with your fingers, which means that my bangs are now BURNT and not growing anymore. The two plates are now totally misaligned (after two months). It is not worth the price. | |

| I already posted once, a few weeks ago...and I am reading some more posts, mostly negative. For those of you who are telling us to read instructions....why would any of us post negative things if they weren't true? I watched the DVD as well as read the instructions and still my hair was burned off and the styler's temperature was going crazy....yea, give it time..because just like you good reviewers, mine worked great for a month....then it crapped out. I really hope that the bad stuff doesn't happen to your hair....and if it does, then you can eat your words!!! BEWARE OF THIS PRODUCT!!!!!!!!! | |
Awesome styler!

| I've had my Kiyoseki pro styler now for almost 3 weeks and it works great! I've tried it on my own fine, wavy hair as well as my friend's thick, curly hair and it works beautifully on both! The smoothness and silkiness lasts until you wash your hair again. I'm not having any problem with the temperature - but you've got to let it come to the base reading and then adjust it to the right temperature for your hair; and you should start at the lower end of the heat range. It did smoke a little the first time, but the instruction DVD indicated that the coating on the plates might do that so it wasn't a surprise. I also wipe it down with a dry cloth after using it each time and put it back in its case. It also works better if you use small sections of hair and comb the section thoroughly before sliding it through the styler. For those of you having problems, did you even bother to read the instructions or watch the DVD? I love mine and won't go back to anything else! | |

Did any of you who gave it fewer than three stars follow the directions? Do not go over the same section after you've straightened it, do not use it when your hair is wet at all...
FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS! I've had my kiyoseki (the improved version of it) for four months now. My hair was frizzy, dry, and puffy. Now it's incredibly sleek, stays straight even in Japan's humid weather, and the quality of my hair has improved tremendously - it's much less frizzy even when I step out of the shower and go a day or two without using the kiyoseki again. People, don't listen to the bad reviews! This straightener is the best in the world!
