Heya i would not recommend this styler to anyone. Was great at first but then it just crapped out and wouldn't turn on. I have read other reviews and it seems my one was not the only one that has done this Is this helpful? Yes or No

I bought this straightener around this time last year, did a payment plan, I think I ended up paying around $150 for it, with warranty included etc.. and then about 4 days ago I was half way through straightening my hair and it just stopped working! Wouldnt turn on again.. I was so incredibly pissed off, I called up to get my warranty put into effect and of course they want another 19.99 for shipping, they can kiss my as*!!!! I wouldnt pay anoter penny for one. I will be purchasing a chi this afternoon : ) yes!!!!! Dont buy it!!!!! Now that I have found this site I will call up and read some of these reviews to someone there.. ha ha ha Is this helpful? Yes or No

I bought this last year around this time. Within a few months it broke. It wouldn't turn on. I still haven't called to get it replaced because I just threw it in my closet and forgot about it because I was so angry. I'm going to call and see what happens. I will be livid if I have to send the straightener AND the other stuff you get with it. I paid $20 extra to get a 2-year warranty. Wish me luck. Don't buy it. It does work great but breaks shortly after. If you're looking for a great straightener don't buy this or a Chi (they are amazing but also break within a year) Is this helpful? Yes or No

I thought i would order this and try, instead of taking heed to all of the reviews i thought...."Maybe if i just gave it a try!!" Well it damaged my hair and my daughters hair!! So much for all the talk on tv!!! It looks simple and actually its not at all!!! I had to cut my daughters beautiful hair to fix the damage that had been done!! Not worth it at all!!! Don't buy this! I got one for Christmas and it worked pretty well for 6 months...much better than my Hot Tools. Then, all of a sudden, the temperature would go out of whack and get extremely hot (up to 450 degrees, which I didn't even know it went up to!) and finally it burned my hair week ago. I had to get 2 inches chopped off at my salon. I went to Ulta and bought a CHI (don't be fooled...the ones at Target aren't the real thing) and it is AMAZING. Is this helpful? Yes or No

So, when I first got my Kiyoseki I had read the reviews. It was fairly new and the reviews were about 75 percent great and 25 awful. I thought those 25% just had bad luck with theirs and mine would be fine. Got the straightener in August 2008. Worked like a dream. Fastest straightener I ever used. NO pulling or scorching. Stayed stright all day in the humid Florida climate. Fast forward to April 2009. My straightener temperature was jumping all over even though I use it maybe twice a week and never put off brand product on my hair. After about 4 times of straightening with the numbers jumping, the styler would not power on. I left it in the drawer angry and bought a conair infiniti which I had previously had. After having the Kiyoseki I could not take the pulling and damage of the conair. So, on Friday July 17 I called the 800 number from the website. I gave them my order number and they replaced it no questions asked. Did not even have to return the other or tell them the problem (I assume they know). Paid 19.99 for shipping and the styler is now in my hands on July 23rd. I admit it sounds silly to pay for another after the other quit but if I can get anther six months out of this one I will be able to save my hair from damage while I save for a CHI or GHD. So if you have one and still have your order number call and have it replaced. Who knows, if you complain about the shipping charges they might send it free. Is this helpful? Yes or No

I absolutely love the results I get from this flat iron. Full body, healthy shine....basically everything the commercial says..HOWEVER...just like everyone else has said; the quality is very poor and this iron only lasts for a few months (if that) and the warranty really doesn't mean crap. okay i got this straitner like a year ago and it only lasted about 5 months and it burn my hair and stop working one day for no resson its only a waist of money and messes up your hair i would not get this straitnern but right now i have a ultra chi and its the best straitner i have ever had and it doesnt mess up my hair the chi may be kinda exspensive but it works great Is this helpful? The straightener itself works pretty good, its the additional products they send every 30 days at 19.99 a pop that do not work well. I returned the product that I KEPT receiving for three months and they kept returning the product to me, claiming it was the post office's fault. Recently, I received all three months of product returned to me again. I called and spoke with someone who assured me that if I returned the product I would receive a refund. AS of today, I still have not received a refund. Is this helpful? Yes or No

Hi, thank u for the other reviews,my daughter call me at work to order Kiyoseki Straightner been advertise on TV - channel 1, I gave this number a call, and got told they will call back (understandable) while wiating for the call, I decided to google this - here I am reading all the reviews from people that already got this straightner and decided that I am not going to buy this and keep saving for a GHD. Very dangerous random temperature changes! You can't control the temperature! I would set it at 305 degrees then all of a sudden it would just randomly shoot up to well over 400 degrees! One time I was using and it right in the middle of ironing, the temp had changed and I burned the crap out of my hair. I have had it almost a year and these problems with the temperature randomly changing started happening about 3 months ago. It can be just sitting on the counter and all of a sudden the temp goes from blue to red without even touching the darn thing. Is this helpful? Yes or No

I bought this hair straightner at christmas (less than a year ago!). A couple of days ago i plugged it in to use it, and 'BEFORE I HAD EVEN SWITCHED IT ON', it sparked a little, started smoking up, then made one massive spark along with a loud popping noise (as in blew up). It cost me almost $300 dollars for this faulty product... Can anyone tell me what i have to do to get my money back please??? Is this helpful? Yes or No
