It worked amazing! But then one day it just stopped working! I went to plug it in and it wouldnt turn on! It just completely died. It only came with a 60 day warranty so I wasted 100+ dollars on nothing. Dont buy it, it broke within 2 months of purchase. Is this helpful? Yes or No

I bought this hair straightner at christmas (less than a year ago!). A couple of days ago i plugged it in to use it, and 'BEFORE I HAD EVEN SWITCHED IT ON', it sparked a little, started smoking up, then made one massive spark along with a loud popping noise (as in blew up). It cost me almost $300 dollars for this faulty product... Can anyone tell me what i have to do to get my money back please??? Is this helpful? Yes or No

Ok so i got this flat iron and it worked amazing! best flat iron i have ever used before i got it in the end of november used it for school by the end of the year less than one year later in june i tryed to turn it on it wouldnt do anything. i made the mistake of buying the kiyoseki and then reading reviews i will never do that again i read so many reviews saying it was "crap" and broke after less than a year well i thought hey maybe that wont happen .... IT DID ! im so mad i payed over 100 dollars and have nothing to show . there are such better flat irons out there DO NOT BUY THIS their is something wrong with the wiring or something because they always break , dont get me wrong they work amazing until they break but thats just it they break! dont buy your taking a huge risk because like all of them break from what ive heard Is this helpful? THIS STRAIGHTENER WAS PURCHASED ONLY 9 MONTHS AGO AND I AM ON MY 4TH REPLACEMENT (ADDITIONAL $19.95 EACH RETURN). ONE FLAT IRON SCORCHED AND BURNT MY HAIR, TWO WOULDN'T COME ON AFTER FEW USES AND MADE A BUZZING NOISE. I WILL NEVER EVER PURCHASE ANOTHER ONE. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A JOKE. WOW, as majority of the reviews say, I LOVED this straightener, my Mom got it for herself originally and I talked her into giving it to me. Worked well since Christmas then last night I'm using it and all of a sudden, a strand of hair is melted to it. It smelled awful. As, other review state it won't turn on again. Is this helpful? At first i loved the Kiyoseki. Then after about 10 days of not even using it everyday it just stopped working. It wouldn't turn on at all. I tried everything and it wouldn't work. I hate it. I would not recommend this to anyone. It sucks. Is this helpful? Yes or No

I was very excited to receive the flat iron and it did work but at the same time I now have a piece of hair that is permantely burned. That's not the worst part. One day I was ready to iron out my hair turned it on heard it singe and has never come back on ever since. Can anyone tell me how to get ahold of these people. Everytime I call I never get a respnse. Has anyone called to complain. What are the odds of getting our money back after a year. Is this helpful? Yes or No

I got the Kiyoseki in December and absolutely loved it. 4 days ago the temperature kept going up by itself, but I would turn it back down and it would be OK. 2 days ago it turned off by itself and now it will not turn back on!!! Has anybody gotten it to work again??? Is this helpful? Yes or No

I WISH I HAD THESE REVIEWS TO READ BEFORE I BROUGHT MY KIYOSEKI. AS OTHER STATED, THE FIRST FEW MONTHS IT WORKED GREAT. I NOTICED THE TEMPERATURE WOULD RISE TO THE RED SECTION WHEN I PUT IT DOWN TO SPEARATE THE NEXT SECTION OF HAIR. I WOULD HAVE LOWER THE TEMPERATURE BEFORE CONTINUE USING IT, WHICH WAS VERY AGRAVATING. THEN AS OTHERS STATED, IT JUST STOPPED WORKING. THE "FEW" OF YOU WHO HAVE NOT HAD A PROBLEM, CONSIDER YOURSELF VERY LUCKY. IT'S NOT BECAUSE WE MISUSED, DIDN'T TAKE CARE OF, OR DIDN'T FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. Well my big bubble just got popped! thanxx everyone for your comments I really was looking forward to ordering but will be withholding now. I think those for whom it has worked on here need to wake up to the fact that the majority were sold duds and you just got lucky because probably only 1 out of every 10 works for longer than 6 months. You shouldn't call the others crazy or say it must be their hair causing probs, sounds like you just played kiyoseki roulette to me! Of course a few have to work so that it seems that the owners of the rest look like they are the problem! cunning marketing ploy its a WAKE UP CALL for all of us... I was pleased initially when using this product. Now, I realize I should have done more research. One major design flaw is that the buttons are placed right where you hold it..they're sensitive and I'm constantly pressing them each time I style my hair, which then changes the temp..incredibly frustrating!! The other frustrating flaw is the cord - again with curling (making spirals/curls), the cord gets coiled or tangled up. Of course after having purchased this iron already, I notice other products don't have this problem. I definitely would not recommend this product. Is this helpful? Yes or No

I have only evere ordeded two things off t.v and by the looks off it i was about to make another mistake i have curly and very fine hair about a month ago i purchased a GHD which i love all my friends own 1 one off which has had hers for eight years and she claims its still just as good as the first day she brought i think the difference with ghds compaired with the kiyoeike is the fact that any one can get a rip off any where where as you can only get orginal ghds from hair salons so who do you trust your hair dresser or carmon eletra Is this helpful? I bought this product with high hopes. I loved it...for the first two months at least. One day as usual (just like everyone else said) i go to straighten my hair and all of a sudden this HUGE burst of heat comes (while i had it on the lowest heat setting) and completely burnt off my hair! My hair fell to the floor and smelled awful. then of course it would not turn back on. i called to get a replacement and called and called. Nobody seemed to know what they were doing. All the customer service people were rude as hell. I finally asked for my money back and here i am 7months later still trying. they said they never got my product back in the mail. so i am left out 120.00 and with no straightner. This product sucks and customer service is worse. Dont buy it unless your really that dumb to read all these reviews and still want one. Is this helpful? Yes or No

I have heard that there are fake versions of this straightner on the market and I'm grateful that I do not have one, The Kioseki is the best thing that has ever happend to me, along with taking care of my hair I also took as much care with my straightner which is why after six months I still have it, All I see is lots of people complaining about the iron shutting down and singeing hair, however dont have the tempreture too high to singe its, dont leave it in one place too long to singe it... gosh its common sence. The original only goes up to 210degrees so I dont understand how someone can get iut up to 500? This product is so good that my girlfriend who religiously used GHD for 5 years after spending only 2 weeks with me on holiday with my Kioseki could not go back to it her GHD. She brought one the day after she washed her hair and used her GHD again. It does not burn your hair it locks in the moisture, ..you are supposed to use the straightner on dry hair not wet hair the anti friz is for your hair while it is wet then once its dry then you straighten. My favorite however is the finishing serum that works magic.. Everyone that I work with asks me what do i use for my hair and I tell them its Kioseki. I saw the add on t.v and instantly wanted to purchase one of these. But here in N.Z it is just too pricey for me. Was looking at getting one anyway so I can give my (reliable) straightner to my siter But after reading these reviews...A big pass!! Thanks guys for reviews. I'm stick with my VS goddess. okay so i saw the add on the tv for kiyoseki and ive been wanting it for a while so i whent on the internet and i purchased a 30-60 day trial and paid 14.95 and i have not recieved it in the mail yet but im confused weither i should keep it or get my money back. all of these problems that i see on the reviews are terms after 30 days. or 60 days i hope this work or i got to go get the chi or genaric brand again and this is only going to be a waste of my time and money. I saw it advertised on TV. Bought it. It seemed to work great for about 4 months. Then the temperature would spike to about 550 degrees and burnt my hair. All of a sudden, one day it just quit working. I have had other hair straightening equipment that have lasted years for about $30. This cost about $150 and lasted 4 months. Would not repurchase.
