How to Choose Shampoo/Conditioner after Hair Straightening

Tags: conditioner hair straightening shampoo

After hair straightening, were you puzzled with whether to use the shampoo and conditioner that the salon suggests you to buy? Dose the shampoo and conditioner (better priced) which your were prefer using is suitable?

Usually, after hair straightening in salon, the stylist would asked you to buy the shampoo and conditioner products which he recommended. And the shampoo and conditioner is more expensive priced. Dose this kind of shampoo and conditioner is necessary to buy?

Well, it depends on the type of hair straightening which you have done in salon, whether your hair straightening is the newer Japanese Thermal Hair Straightening, or a traditional Thio-based Hair Straightening process. The thio-based straightened hair should be treated like permed hair, with frequent and thorough conditioning to maintain moisture and smooth the cuticle. But the Japanese Thermal Hair Straightening process and its accompanying products are designed as a whole to help maintain the needs of the hair.

However, you could use other shampoo/conditioner too, as long as it contain the ingredients would not interfere with the chemicals used to straighten the hair.

In many hair salons, if you don't use the products which the stylist suggests for aftercare after the expensive Japanese Hair Straightening process, it would result in losing any claim to warranty on the straightening service. This means that if you choose to use your own products as reject opposed to what the stylist suggests, the salon may refuse any liability if you have problems after the hair straightening service. This an important concern you should remember.

I recently got a japanese straightening on Sep 21, and i bought the shampoo and conditioner that the stylist told me too, and I have been using it since then. However, even though I have been good about washing my hair and really scrubbing in there, it has made my hair incredibly greasy in the back. I have had this process done to my hair at least 6 times now and this happens with the majority of the shampoos they give me. I am currently studying abroad in London and I'm not sure if I'll be able to get certain brands of shampoo. However, I was wondering if you happen to know what ingredients would be bad for hair that has been through the japanese straightening process so I may look for a better conditioner (at least).
