Hi, I'm really worried. I got my hair permanently straightened with chemicals o/s in mid Jan. I got my hair dyed two months before at home in the US (mid Oct) but my hair is black and the color was light n barely noticeable. They put in a powerdose that neutralizes the strength of the dye and reduces any negative reaction with the straightening chemicals. I was told not to wash it for 3 days, (I waited for 4). The first time i washed my hair i lost about 200 strands. I thought it was just because it was the first time I'd washed it. But now 2 months later, I'm still losing the same amount n I'm soo scared I'll be bald in a few months. I lose a lot of hair just brushing it (with a wide tooth comb) too (40-60). So now I'm scared to even brush my hair as well. I only wash my hair every 9 days. I paid so much to get this done and now I'm so scared I'll be bald. I don't see any huge patches, it seems the hair is falling from all over. IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN I DO TO STOP THE HAIR LOSS OR REDUCE IT OR SOMETHING??? ANY RESPONSE IS APPRECIATED.

You may just have a vitamin B deficiency, or just a reaction to the product. It will take about 3 months to see a change so don't freak out. you naturally have hair loss daily.

My hair is burnt from straighting my hair for the past 5 years nonstop what can help?
Sarah's Reply:
Hi michelle, my hair is burnt too. At side of my head where its really damaged. The best thing to do is to not straighten the bits until they get better and cover them as best as you can.

I had my hair permanetly straightened with the bio ionic system ,today. Everything seems well, except that the stylist burnt my scalp with the flat iron. Later in the evening I noticed some blisters, they have popped , and some fluid has leaked on to my hair from them,,, should I be worried? what should I do?

I had thermal hair straightening (TR) performed on my hair 5 yrs ago and had fantastic results. The hair stylist used Japanese products. I had the process done again four days ago. The hair stylist did not use the same Japanese product he did last time. He used a european product instead. It looked great, but did not feel silky and my hair smelled badly. I washed it for the first time yesterday and my hair looked like straw after towel drying. I then blow dried my hair and was shocked to see my hair a frizzy mess and it still smelled badly. What could have possibly gone wrong and how can my hair be fixed? I do not color or chemically process my hair, except for the TR four days ago.

i am thinking of getting my hair permanantly straightened. however there is 1 thing pestering me. when you have perm straightened your hair, then when it grows longer, does the hair still stay perm straight or does the hair that has grown grows curly! reply ASAP! thx HELP ME PLZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ashley's Reply:
I got my hair straightened with what I call virgin hair because it has never been dyed highlighted, ect. and the straightening didnt last. (Brazilian straightening) turns out i learned that it only works with treated hair because natural hair washes it out. And btw, my friend with dyed hair that has it straightened says that the new growth was not curly. it depends which technique you are using though.

tina's Reply:
The new growth will be curly and a retouch straightening service will be required after 6–8 months, depending on the rate of hair growth and the degree of curliness of the new growth.
