I guess the straning i did two days before should be permanent as the process went on like first the straning cream first and then the neutralizer. Can you please tell me whether i need to do regular blow dry to maintain the hair straight. My original hair is not so curly but wavy.

Hi, I would like to get my hair permanently straight. If one day after the process, I'd like to apply gel for a certian occasion; will it affect my straight hair in any way?

Moderator 's Reply:

Gel helps to soften your hair, at this point your hair becomes quite fragile and should be treated carefully.

I am doing a science project to see how different hair straighteners actually treat hair. My hypotenuse is: Does the use of ceramic ionic plates reduce the damage of hair compared to regular ceramic. Would you be able to help me with my project or know where I could go.

I have been having my hair straightened with the rusk system in a salon outside Manchester...unfortuntely I am not able to travel and spend 3 hours at a salon at the moment due to other committments so I would like to purchase a (permanent) straightening product and do it myself (which one would you recommend and where can I get it from?) Alternatively if this is not at all possible where can I find a salon closer to home or a mobile hairdresser which can do this for me. I live in Cheshire SK8

I would absolutely love to have my hair permanently straightened, however I have highlights(some of them bleached) and quite a few split ends also. Is it still possible to have my hair permanently straightened and if so, which method is best for me...ionic? yuko? or another...

Moderator 's Reply:

some chemical straightening systems are safe to use on colored or highlighted hair. It's hard to say which is best for you, but before the chemical treatment, you owe it to yourself to be well informed. You will be able to make good decisions with regard to hair and scalp care.

I would just like to know if it is ok to wash my hair a day before chemically straightening my hair. I have straightened my hair before and know that I should not wash my hair two days after the treatment, but what about right before?

Moderator 's Reply:

The hair should be completely dry before the relaxing process is started.

I used thermal Ionic in yellow box for color treated hair on my client, we followed the directions to a T. She hates it.. it was yesterday. WHAT CAN WE DO? WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF SHE WASHES HER HAIR. AS SHE WANTS THE CURLS BACK........

Moderator 's Reply:

Thermal Ionic straighting is PERMANENT, there is no guarantee to go back to curly. u may try a perm of good quality.

Hi! what is the difference between rebonding and thermal straightening?

Moderator 's Reply:

Thermal straightening is a chemical service that incorporates Japanese technology to make even the curliest hair permanently pin straight and mirror shiny. Rebonding is a much safer way to relax hair, its formula is milder and less damaging to hair.

Hi I have a friend in America who highly recommends these straightners. Are they compatible for use in England as we ave a different voltage to america?? Kind regards Julie

Moderator 's Reply:

some straighteners only can be used in North America (110/120v), different from UK(220/240V), you need a voltage converter. or you can buy a UK edition directly: http://www.hairstraightening.net/sed1ion307.html.
