No, we wouldn't recommend it. You need to buy a relaxer and wait 7-14 days before chemically straightening.

I'm looking for a wet/dry straightener that costs under $50.00. I'd like for it to be ceramic, have a fast heat up, and preferrably ionic, and not very damaging to my hair. Any suggestions?

Do we need to apply some cream before straightening the hair. If yes could you please suggest some low priced solution, gels and creams that are used by everyone.

Moderator 's Reply:

Cream can protect your scalp during hair straightening, smoothe and straighten hair, protects and adds shine during the heat styling process. Smooth 'N Shine Polishing Straight Out Balm should be your choice. check it out.

Hi, I have the same type of hair, NO products will ever help, i was SOOOO misruble, my whole life, then i finally got a maxiglide, and my hair was amazing, seriously, i didnt ware my hair down, EVER, it was to frizzy and just looked like straw, but the maxiglide made it look like all the other straight haired girls, i personally straightened my hair, then barley curl the ends, BUT, after 7 months it broke, but it was so great, i didnt wanna try any other straightner, so i got another one, but instead of getting it from Maxiusbeauty.com i got it from HSN.com, and it came in a totaly different package, and it dosnt work half as good, so im returning it, so makesure you get it from maxiusbeauty.com They cost about $125 bucks , but you get AWSOME hair products, beyond straight, and The end, they are GREAT!!!

Hi there. I'm currently in tha market for buying my first hair straightner. I'm not looking to totally straighten my hair, just some strands and my fringe. I have curly hair. I would also like the straightner to make waves in my hair. I'm looking for a tourmaline one. I do't want to pay more than US $300. I am looking for a good one. Someone told me to look at the Fudge Wet 2 Dry Pro D:fuse Hair Straighteners. Do you know this brand? And would you reccomend it? Can you give me any further reccomendations regarding wet to dry straightening? I'm also looking for one that doesn't need extra products to put in your hair before straightening it. Sorry for all the questions. Hope you can help me, i'm in a dilemma. Thanks in advance. Regards. Helana van der Merwe
