noha wrote at May 13, 08, 21:39:42: my sister was visiting in california when she had her hair yukoned at a salon. she told the guy everything about her hair in terms of coloring and ironing. after she was done he told her not to put any hairbands etc. in her hair and not to wash it for three days. she waited 4 days, and when sh finally washed it, her hair was so damaged and frizzy like never before. totally destroyed. it was in a much better condition before she had it done. is this normal or did the guy do something wrong? it is a professional salon but could he have messed something up? please let me know as i'm very worried. thanks, noha » Response

When I come out of the shower an blowdry my hair , when it is dry it has this oily substance caoted on it . When I straighten it it looks greasy. Is this normal??? Should I use different shampoo? I looked into that, too, and discovered that, due to the chemical used, the solution has to be put no closer than two inches from your scalp. I cannot even imagine what that would look like, to have curly fuzz around your face for two inches,and then stick straight hair. I've used the Maxiglide for a couple of years and really like it, but you have to learn how to use it so you don't get stick straight, boring hair. My maxiglide just broke (I don't know why, it did not get dropped, but the housing cracked apart) I just heard about a product called Mixed Chicks (be sure to google on "mixed chicks hair products" so you don't get something offensive!!
