The GHD Styler uses the same advanced ceramic technology as the Professional ghd salon hair straightener yet features wider plates enabling you to quickly work through larger sections of hair making it ideal for thicker or heavier hair such as Afro Caribbean.

  • The hair straighteners contain ceramic heaters which are the same size as the plates and ensure that the plates are heated evenly, meaning there are no hot spots
  • The unique ceramic heaters are double plated with a platinum wire embedded in between the plates and fired at 1400˚C
  • The hair straighteners have a built in microprocessor which is totally unique and regulates the temperature 5 times a second, which is shown by the flashing LED
  • The control circuitry means that the hair straighteners retain maximum heat throughout the styling process
  • Other hair straighteners often use PTC or copper wound elements which are less efficient at emitting infra red and negative ions and can dry out or damage hair
  • The GHD salon hair straightener removes unwanted moisture but will not take out the essential moisture and oils needed for healthy hair
  • The hair straighteners emit a large proportion of infra-red heat and produce negative ions both of which are less damaging to the hair and create shine by closing the cuticle

GHD is by far the best iron to use for any hair - thick or thin. It leaves your hair feeling silky smooth, doesn't feel dry and I have never ever used product with it - my hair is thick and curly. You can wear it for three days and it still looks like you got it done that morning. The best part is that although the iron 230 degrees celcius, you can iron from the roots to the tips without getting burnt on the scalp or hands and it rids the kink look too.

oh my goodness.. it was really nice.. i really like it. i have been straightening my hair for about 5 or 6 years now..and i have never found a straightener that works as well as this one!! i used to use a straightener that i would buy from target for about 20 dollars, and it would work really well.. but would only keep my hair straight for like an hour.. i couldnt lay on it a certain way, or it would ruin, humidity resistance was a joke, and i would have to go over the same spot what seemed like days.. so i bought this one and it works amazing.. i only to use it once..and im good.!!!!! its fantabulous!!!!!

my hair has a natural kink to it.iv used other hirstraightners which were ok but theses by far are the best!.my hair stays poker straight all day! i wont be using any other straighteners again they are worth every penny.
