Broken in less than a year

I bought my Conair Infiniti steam straightener less than a year ago. It worked great for a long time. It really does an great job! The only problem that I have had recently is that the water reservoir doesn't stay on anymore. The plastic tabs get very hot when used and they have slowing started falling off. I have to use a hair elastic to hold it on! I am going to see if I can get a replacement reservoir to fix it. Other than this problem, the straightener is excellent.

I loved my infinity until recently I have been having problems. I bought it less than a year ago and for about $75. I was all excited until it no will not stay on. The cord at the bottom will not stay connected and keeps slilghtly unplugging itself. Instead of a quick, easy straightener like it used to be, I constantly fight with the cord every morning for a good ten minutes until i find a place to hold it while I straighten my hair. So if you want to replace your straightener every year, go for it, but if not, I dont recommend it.

TO ALL BLACK WOMEN & GIRLS THIS DOES WORK ON BLACK PEOPLE HAIR! MY HUBBY GOT HURT THIS SUMMER I COULDN'T GO TO MY HAIR DRESSER 4 A MONTH...I NEEDED A PERM BAD PUT I DON'T PUT CHEMICALS IN MY HAIR (ON MY OWN I ONLY LET PROFESSIONALS DO IT) I WAS SPORTING A KIND OF CURLY FRO AT THIS TIME IT DIDN'T LOOK BAD, BUT IT JUST WASN'T ME PLUS IT WAS KIND OF HOT! I GOT THE CONAIR STRAIGHTENER & I WENT FROM FRO TO STRAIGHT SHINNY HAIR THAT MOVED WITH LOTS OF LIFE EVERYTIME I SLIGHTLY MOVED MY HEAD...THIS IS ONE GREAT PRODUCT I WILL NEVER BE WITHOUT IT IN THE FUTURE...I RATE IT 100+++!

I bought this straightener, and is really, really efective, is quick and my hair looks straight and healthy all the time (obviously, you want a healthy hair, don't you?); the heat is constant and good.
Is really recommendable.

This review is geared more towards Black women. My experience with the Conair Infiniti Nano Silver is that it does not get hot enough so it doesn’t make your hair very straight. Also, you have to do this every day or else your hair gets out of control. We (Black people) have varying grades of hair and my grade is naturally loose curls (no chemicals). My hair is actually fairly easy to do but this didn’t work for me or someone else I had try it. I think that $150 is a lot to pay for something that doesn’t work very well for me, especially when I can get the Gold n’ Hot brand for less and know that it will be hot enough and will last. That’s my experience. I returned it. I kind of think that maybe the one black model they had was wearing a weave. I should’ve known better when I only saw one model. I’ve heard of companies having black models but they have weaves to make the results better to the eye. I’m not saying that’s what Conair has done but I should've used more discretion.

I have used CHI, along with many other straightners, but this outweighs even CHI. It took 12 minutes to straighten my hard to straighten hair instead of the usual 35-1 hour. The heat is constant and does not cool down while in use. I only had to go over the tough spots twice compared to many many times with other straightners. I highly recommend it.
