Here are a few tips to help ensure the best results and long life with you CHI Hair Straightener:

The CHI Hair Straightener has been designed with an IDCI plug. This helps to prevent electric shocks. If the CHI Hair Straightener does not turn on when the switch is turned to the on position, be sure that the red reset button on the plug is depressed. In the case of local electrical interruptions, be sure to reset the plug before using again.
The CHI Hair Straightener is turned on and off by sliding the concealed switch inside the handle. The red indicator light will tell you when the Hair Straightener is in the heating mode. This light may flicker during heat cycles. Always turn the CHI Hair Straightener off when not in use.
The ceramic paddles may be cleaned of product build-up using rubbing alcohol and a clean cloth. Be sure that the Hair Straightener is turned off, unplugged, and cool to the touch before cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleansers or materials on the ceramic plates, as this will damage the heating surface.
As with any electrical appliance, keep the CHI Hair Straightener away from water. Never submerge the CHI Hair Straightener in water as it will damage the Hair Straightener and void the warranty.
Should the hinge mechanism become loose and the plates fail to align properly, the hinge may be tightened. Unplug the Hair Straightener and allow cooling. Carefully remove the caps covering the hinge. Tighten the screw inside the hinge until the plates align. Replace the hinge covers, and return to normal usage.

i just got the chi straightener and i was shocked to see the difference in my hair! before, i was using crap that didn't do anything, but the chi really works well! not only does it straighten your hair, but also makes it silky and smooth!! so to sum it up, I <3 my chi straightener! =]

This is the best Straightening iron ever~!!!! You need to use it. But i have to say i do i have split ends cause i never used protection... now i m~!!!

you should try a chi straightner ive had 1 for 2 years the best ive ever used and ive spend $500 on straightners that dont do anything for my hair but the Chi has been great but you really should use a protective spray so you dont fry your hair !!!!!!!
