The plastic casing around the plug has fallen off, and now the white wire has come undone. I have no idea how to fix it and i've only had it for 2 years. Any help?

I had the same problem with the casing for the plug. I can't believe it fell apart. I've had countless straighteners, curlers and blow dryers. Not a single one fell apart other than the Chi!!! The casing is made of a very cheap plastic!

Forget the CHI (I will not purchase one again). My husband purchased mine for Christmas 2007. It is a pretty pale blue (pearl finish) with the imitation diamonds that say "CHI". I am not a person to use these flat irons daily - I have only used this flat iron 8 times at most since purchased. A week ago, I attempted to heat up my CHI - IT DOES NOT WORK! Call this fate or just a "dud" I am totally unhappy due to eh cost of this flat iron being over $100.00! IF I CAN find a repair shop it will cost me $35.00 to have something fixed that should have had a more useful life.
NO MORE CHI FOR ME!

by I will never by a Chi again on May 14, 2009
I loved the Chi until I needed a repair. After talking with customer service I was informed that they do not do repairs unless there is a manufacturer's defect. I have a problem with the plug in casing cracking and there is no way to fix it. I think this is ridiculous to pay this much for a product and not have a service area. I was willing to pay for the fixing of the casing so it was not like I wanted something for free. I will never by a Chi nor will I recommend this product.

i got the chi straightener for my birthday this july and i have to say that it really works well compared to my old conair one. i do have to say that the only thing that i don't like about it is the fact that you cannot adjust the temperature. just make sure that you use protection and you are good to go!

i just got the chi straightener and i was shocked to see the difference in my hair! before, i was using crap that didn't do anything, but the chi really works well! not only does it straighten your hair, but also makes it silky and smooth!! so to sum it up, I <3 my chi straightener! =]
