My mom has completely straight, silky hair, my dad has wavy, guess which one i inherited?
of course: Wavy and frizzy.
but now i wash it every day, deep condition it every day and straighten it every day, and it's still healthy. using serums will help keep it straight.
When you are straightening be sure to protect with straightening cream, spray or gel, especially the ends, and use long, fluid movements with the device.
Also, my straightener has a degrees C°setting so u can set it to the heat u want to.
I usually set it to 100-115°C , which is about 240°F.
This is much less than other straighteners, which are usually about 200°C (meaning: 392°F)
be sure to section your hair so it won't be too thick for the straightener.
good luck ppl ^^

I use Tre'semme Straightening gel for heat tools &
then spray on (when it's dry) Redken Thermal Setting Mist & Chi Iron Guard for my iron, when the air is dry, my hair is perfect, but when it's humid it's very stubbornd. I wouldn't bother trying too much when the weather's that way; I just put my hair up or in a ponytail.

I use Trevor Sorbie Shampoo & Conditioner (the straightning one)Then i use the heat defence spray. It really works, it seems expensive but it's not really. I towel dry my hair first (don't rub it this can give you split ends) then i dry it in sections with a hairdryer. When it's completely dry i straighten it in sections. Before i start i use serum. When it's finnished it looks soft and silky but not greasy. if anyone wants to know what my straightners are there tresemme phillips nano Diamond. I think there better than GHD's after all it only stands for Good Hair Day. xx

i have shoulder length VERY culy dark brown hair and i always wear it straight. I usually use the straightning irons straight away rather than blow drying. I find it hard to keep my hair straight once i have straightend it and i was wondering if you have an tips of actually straightning it better or keeping it straight?

I have a very anoying problem. My father has ringlett curles, my mother the big 70's curles and incredibly thick hair. I ended up with it ALL. I grow about an inch a month, so it's difficult keeping it short, and gives me headaches when it's long from weight. It won't curl, and it won't straiten. Help?!

Using one serum for heat protection, then blow dry my hair, then use a ceramic iron to straighten ... usually got a bit of a wave at that day, so i have to touch it up everyday, wash it after a couple days, then I have to do it again after a couple weeks.
