I've spent a lot of time researching and testing different products/styling techniques in my line of work and here are some tips: Don't waste your money on some expensive shampoo that says will do anything other then clean it... these products don't work and they don't clean properly. Second, and I can't stress this enough is DON'T wash your hair every day. Only wash your hair when it actually needs it, otherwise you're just stripping your hair of stuff it really needs to keep healthy. I'd recommend every third or fourth day. DO condition at least every other day. DO use a leave-in. After testing everything under the sun we found Infusium conditioners and leave-ins work best and they don't cost an arm and a leg. DON'T straighten your hair when it's dripping wet. DON'T straighten your hair when it's totally dry. Do straighten your hair when it's semi-damp. Run a brush threw it a few times and get any tangles out. If you still see the frizzies/waves after straightening spritz a little anti-frizz leave-in on that spot and let it sit a second, brush it and try again. Hope this helps, it sure helped me. I have very wavy/frizzy hair myself and I follow these things we learned to the letter and have hardly any troubles anymore.

Hey guys. I have really curly... frizzy... and poofy hair. I try not to straighten my hair too much because I hear that it is bad for you hair. But the few times that I do straighten my hair... no matter how many times I straighten one strand of hair... my hair does not go STRAIGHT.
My hair tends to curve into my face and I wish I could get it to go a little more straight because my hair looks gay when its like that. Someone please help :'O

Sarah,
The wet/dry straightners are awful! thet completly burn your hair. Get a CHI. I have wavy hair. I use beyond the zone heat spray and straighning gel from sally's when my hairs damp. i let it dry naturally, then use hairspray.. hope this helps!

I straighten my hair once in a while. But the big problem here is- it does not stay for more than 5 hours. You may think its because of the straightner. But I tried using different brad and the result is always the same. Then i tried using these serums, and sprays. But after application it my hair looks so oily no matter how little amount I use. It looks like I have dirty hair(as if i haven't shampooed my hair) So you guys I have any tips. I'll be grateful.

What I usually do is wash my hair, then put this "Pantene" product in it to make it easier to manage.
I have thick hair. So I blow-dry it then straighten it. It makes it look thinner (Not too thin)but after i've been out in the wind, it gets all messy again.

Okay, I have wavy-ish hair and I straighten it for school or going outt. People tell me I am "professional" at styling my hair so I will share my tips. When I leave my hair natural, I only straighten my bangs, put some Paul Mitchell anti-frizz in my hair then I'm good. But when I straighten it, its always perfect and stays straight. If you have troubles getting the back, split your hair down the middle like in two pigtails and straighten it like thatt. A product that really makes your hair soft and protects it is CHI straight guard. It works really good and keeps your hair straight. Hope this helps anybody (:

If you wanna reduce friz, Use none of your frizzness by herbal escences.
I have thick curly hair and i a use that i don't have to do anything but towel dry it and go. I go out in public with my hair wet somethimes. :)
