I want to know if you have to use a Babyliss Pro or Jilbere De Paris Ceramic Flat Irons or is it ok to use any type of brand of flat iron as long as its ceramic. I also wanted to know what is the best way to use and apply on your own the One'N Only From Jheri Redding Thermal Ionic Permanent Straightener Resistent? can you give me the directions of the best way to apply it and how long i should leave on each thing and how will i know I am doing it right and that it will work?

I had the $600 Japanese straightening done a few years ago. I LOVED IT!! I then about a year ago bought and have used the One 'n Only curl remover-resistant formula. It works well. But I want the immediate out of the shower straight. How soon after using the curl remover can I use the One 'n Only Thermal Ionic Permanent Hair Straightener

I have been using the thermal ionic straightening system for quite few years professionally.
The results have been awesome and life changing for many of my clients. The big key to a successful application is the knot test. The timing chart is a guide . If the knot slips out it not ready . I will admit the first time I did one I chickened out and rinsed it too soon and ended up redoing it a couple weeks later. Also perform the knot test at many areas because dry ends and finer patches do process quicker . All and all I have had great results.

I bought this product about 2-3 years ago and never used it...is it still okay to use. I am going to use it on my 13 yr old daughter.

Can this product be used on African American people's hair and if so how long should one wait to use this product since I did relax my hair this year in May '09 whit a product called "Motions"?

I can not tell if the above mentioned products, sodium, lithium, potassium or guanidine hydroxides are in "Motions" since they could be described differently. Please advice.

When My hair is straight everyone likes it. When it's not, nobody says anything to me. I have really thick hair thats wavy and when i straighten it with a straightener its still thick just straight but its big. Like it layers up and its big, you know? Well i wanted to know if i get it chemically straightened will it still be layered thick like now or lay all the way down and look thin???

I was a licensed hairdresser for several years. I used this straightener on my son's hair today. He has curly hair that is quite long. I followed the directions exactly and I can say that this was not only waste of $30 but a waste of several hours. Using the knot test (as described in the directions) his hair was ready for the next step. However, by the time I was done with the chemical phase and ready to style his hair, I could see the product had not done much if anything. I had in the past used an $8 chemical straightener (for black people) and had better results.
Now, after reading what Redd1 from MS wrote on Jun 17, 08; maybe I should have left it on a lot longer than I did.
But since the directions says "up to 20 min" I didn't want to have his hair fall out.
I'd like a refund.

I have very thick hi-lighted wavy hair. It frizzes up everytime it is damp out, or if I am near the ocean. If I use this system, will it still hold a curl if I use rollers?

This is my opportunity to thank the inventor of the straightening stuffs. Really satisfied me and upgrade my confidence in myself. I have straightened my hair and the rebonding method is really my favourite. In fact, it can last for a 8 - 12 months. Along those months, it did not damage my hair at all. This is my 10th times of using the rebonding method n I will straighten it again.
