I had it done in December of 08 and it burned my head plus all of my thick hair is fall out. Its so thin now and frizzy. I don't recommend anyone to do this. if your hair is wavy just use the flat iron.

I have super curly hair. I'm considering getting the Liscio Japanese Straightening done. My only concern is, can you wear your hair in curled or wavy styles after the process. I'm finding by reading the comments that it makes the hair fabulously straight.. but too straight to do any waves or curls to? Someone who has had this procedure done, please inform me :)

Hi all, I have just moved here from the UK. I used to get the Matrix Opti-smooth system done on my hair (which is extremely thick, course and curly) and it has been the only treatment to date that has worked. I can't find it here (in Atlanta)and the alternative i'm being offered is Liscio. Does anyone know if it is as affective? Would really appreciate some advice!

I got to a place in San Gabriel Valley in Southern California called J's hair Design. It is only one person owned and working there I think. She only charged me $165 for hair that is down my back to my bra strap, and that includes the hair cut. She uses Liscio and does an excellent job. I don't know how she stays in business charging so little, but I am so lucky.

I have been getting Japanese Hair Straightening done for many years. Most of the places are very expensive ($500+) and often have inconsistent results. I went to Wai Beauty in Chinatown based on a review I read here and couldn't be happier. Isabel is great and very friendly. Its not exactly a high end place but for the price and the results its worth it. I paid $300 but my hair is very, very long. Her rates are less for average length hair. I highly recommend it if you're looking for Liscio straightening.

not ridiculously expensive, I think it's $300 with haircut and shoulder massage included.
seriously, the best money I ever spent, I had curly frizzy hair and it is stick straight now.

I have been getting Japanese Hair Straightening done for ten years. I just got done two weeks ago and they damaged my hair, very frizzy, dry. I am getting treatment done to make it better. I would like to know a good salon in my area or even a little bit further where they use Liscio Thermal solution for straightening, experienced staff who know what they are doing.

I had my japanese hair straightening at beauty choice salon a while ago and they did horrible job. The results did not come up as expected. On phone they quoted me around $180 or so but i ended up paying $250 something.I will not recommend this salon to anyone. Guys don't waste your money in this tough economy...find someone who can do better job...

Recently I had my Liscio Treatment done for the sixth year with the same stylist, I love his technique. Michael owner of Hot Gossip in Boston. 2 wks later I go to his salon to purchase my conditioner "er"... to find out that he closed his salon with no prior notification to his loyal customer-"that would be me!" Now I am in the tedeiuos task of finding a stylist that will keep me happy and my hair healthy. Im mourning the loss of that hair salon they were great, the prices, the ambience, service, everything. If anyone knows of Liscio's specialist in Boston please help me out!

I get my hair done at Bergen Salon every year. The owner there does a beautiful job! My hair always comes out straight and silky. What I love about her is that no matter how damaged my hair is, she knows how to work with it. A few years back, I got Liscio straightening done at another salon and was traumatized. They totally burned my hair and my hair was so frizzy. Every salon said I had to wait to grow my hair out. After waiting one year, I went to Bergen Salon and told her my story. She said not to worry about it and that she would try her best to work with my hair. Several hours later, my hair was straight and silky. After that, I have referred all my friends to her. Not only is she great, she charges a very decnt price! Trust me, you wont regret it! :)

Had my hair done by Joanna several times. Really did like her until I found out that a 'true' TR is supposed to be putting protectant cream on the hair that is not being treated (touch ups), and this was not done. I found out that this is an 'express' TR, but meanwhile you are charged the full price. As with some of the other posts, my hair starting breaking and falling out. And OMG, Rob is intolerable. I can't agree enough with the person who wrote he is rude, obnoxious, and somehow thinks he is pleasant to look at. Also, he is a rip-off. I stopped going for all of these reasons and am now trying to find someone/somewhere who truly knows what they are doing.

I have frizzy, long, curly hair and want to have my hair cut like Lisa Rinnas and then have the LTC done, what do you think?
Will it work, can I still flip it, or have any style to my hair once it has the LTC done?
