Japanese Hair Straightening

Japanese Hair Straightening is a new development in hair care. It's a fairly revolutionary way for people with troublesome curly hair to have straight hair and is designed primarily for Caucasian hair. So, does it work for everybody? Yes, to varying degrees. The tighter your natural curl is, the less dramatic the result is. However, in almost all cases the result is such that hair is far more manageable and controllable, even African and Asian hair. And how long does Japanese hair straightening last? It's depending on your hair type, the tightness of your natural curl, and hair length, the out growth will need to be treated in six to nine months. In other words, it's twice a year.

Japanese Hair Straightening was developed in Japan four years ago. It not only straightens the hair but counters humidity and its effects on hair -- namely frizziness and extra volume.

Not everyone is suitable for the treatment. Before the process, a pre-test to the health of the scalp and the appropriateness of the hair is needed.

The procedure usually lasts about four months and the cost varies from $400 to $1,000. People with very long hair can expect to pay considerably above that price range.

Hey, I'm a caucasian male with mid-back length hair (when pulled straight), and I've had a LOT of hair issues in the past. Back in High School (just gratuated) I used to use a really bad flat iron all the time, and always used cheap shampoos and conditioners because we couldn't afford any expensive stuff. :P

I was wondering though, since I haven't had a chance to go to a salon in my LIFE, and haven't asked any professionals about my hair strength; I'm not sure if it's natural for my hair to be as weak as it is. I have a LOT of split ends, and sometimes when I take it out of a ponytail, I end up with a few hairs coming out of my head :[

Oddly enough, it's not really noticable, so I was wondering if the weakness of my scalp or my hair would prohibit me from getting the results I need from this treatment, or if there would be some kind of procedure I would have to get PRIOR to the Japanese Hair Straightening treatment in order to strengthen my hair...?

If ANYBODY could get back to me on this, that would be fantastic, I've always wanted long straight hair, and I've been cursed with absurdly wavy hair. Thanks in advance :P
