What is Ionic Hair Retexturising treatment (IHR)?

Ionic hair retexturising treatment was developed in Japan by a Mr Kaizuka in the late 1990s.

Positive and negative ions are small particles that gather around an object and exist in most substances. By restructuring the ion clusters of water, IHR allows water molecules to penetrate the core of each individual hair. Thus each IHR treatment rehydrates and conditions the hair.

What are the results of IHR?

IHR straightens and improves the health and manageability of many types of hair:

  • Naturally curly and frizzy hair
  • Dehydrated, damaged and course hair
  • Hair lacking in vitality
Why is IHR becoming so popular?

Treatment and Post Treatment Care

The treatment takes 3 - 4 hours:
  • The hair is shampooed with the Ionic relaxant shampoo
  • The pre-treatment care products are applied
  • The Ionic retexturising formula is applied and the hair is allowed to completely relax
  • The formula is rinsed off
  • The hair is blow dried and ironed
For post treatment, we hold the range of natural relaxant shampoo, conditioner and finish.

Each treatment lasts for 4 - 6 months.

1. What salons are qualified to provide Ionic Hair Retexturising in Belfast, Northern Ireland?

2. I only want this done as a once of, will my hair grow out normally and just be able to use straighteners?

3. How much would the straightening cost?

4. Will I be able to leave my hair to dry naturally and stay straight or do I need to blow dry and finish with straightening?

1) Is the ion-Retexturizing System avalible in canada?
2) If you already have bleached hair would you recommend getting this treatment? If so wouldn't it damage the hair even farther?

2. When getting follow-up treatments i.e. every 4-6 months, should the treatment be applied only to roots/regrowth or the full head of hair?
