jenny: ok first of all your hair will fall out, BUT ONLY if it is done wrong. make shure you go to a japanese salon and the person it certified and is a professional. also after you get the chemical DO NOT WATER OR COMB OR DO ANYTHING TO IT. If you do it will fall out. so yes its ok to get the chemical but make shure its done right.

Hey there. I'm 15 and I have really curly hair, but it's pretty healthy. I'm getting my hair chemically straightened within the next week. I'm hoping it comes out good. And the price of mine will be around $60-$70. =]

HI!, I have thick wavy hair and I got it chemically straightened last thursday. After 3 days I washed it and it was wavy again. Now it's not as wavy or curly as it was before the straightening, but it's still wavy. is this supposed to happen?

Ok, so I'm 12, about to turn 13. Anyway, my hair isn't completely wavy. It's more of a hard to straighten frizzy hair. Whenever I try to straighten it with the straightener, it sort of curls. It wont ever stay completely straight. Anyway, my mom bought this stuff to perm. straighten hair. She's good with this kind of stuff. Anyway, i was going to use it, but I chickened out when I read the warning thing. But I feel like doing now. So, should I do it? Would it help any? Please help!

My hair is pretty thick and really curly. It's not tight kinky curls but it is pretty curly and not just wavy. I have worn it pulled back into a bun for the past 10 years and I am extremely sick of it! I don't ever dye it and put mousse in it everyday or else it gets too frizzy. I hardly ever straighten it because it takes over an hour to do and it just ends up frizzy anyways, especially living in Oregon. I really want to straighten my hair permanently so I can actually wear my hair down and do something other than pulling it back all the time. I'm just not sure if my hair would come out completely straight or just have more of a wave than curl.I also don't want to totally destroy my hair since it is pretty healthy right now. Would the chemical do more damage than using a blow dryer and straightener everyday? Any suggestions of where to get it done at in Oregon?

DO IT! I was born with naturally curly(THICK, DRY) hair. Everyone else loved it, I hated it! Last year I heard about permanent straightening and after doing some research and finding an experienced hairdresser, I went through with the process. I couldnt be happier! My hair was down the middle of my back(and REALLY thick), so it took 2 application boxes and about 5 hours. Then of course, I wanted a new "do", so I got it cut to just below my shoulders. This helped b/c the chemicals REALLY damage/break your hair. AGAIN, I have extrememly naturally curly, DRY hair, so I still have to smooth it out with a flat iron and even use a serum to make it shiny. But I wouldnt trade my new hair for the old, ever!! I live in Memphis and the humidity here is AWFUL. That was one of my biggest concerns. I could straighten my hair with a flat iron but after 2 minutes outside, it was so frizzy. NOT ANYMORE! The Chi straightening chemial treatment eliminated that disaster. I had it done last April and I JUST got it touched up this February, so it really lasts! (well, I guess depending on your hair growth, and mine grows fairly fast)! I DO suggest that you use salon grade shampoo/conditioner! And stay away from color in the box! Let your hairdresser color/highlight your hair if you choose to do that. The chemicals in the "box" colors are harsh and dont do as well with the straightener. And YES, your hair WILL grow back curly, so if you want your natural hair back, it IS possible, but it will have to grow back out like a reverse perm...meaning, you will have to keep cutting from the bottom up to get all the straight out of the hair. Hope this helps!!!

i have very curly and frizzy and dry hair. the only person that can straighten my hair is my hairdresser, when she does it, it comes out stragith and shiny and healthy looking. I don't want to rely on her for the rest of my life,i also dye my hair a lot at least every 6-8 months and ive been doing that since i was 16 and im 20 now so its damaged should i get my hair chemically straightened?

hi, im 12 nearly 13 and i too am looking into this, i have longish curly frizzy hair and im over tying it back EVERY day its just so boring. I want to get it straightened for good, i straighten my hair (hardly ever) and it looks great but since im so young i don't want to ruin my hair forever! i also had a friend get it done, she's asian and had straight hair then she got streaks and then got it curled, she didn't like it so she got it straightened again and her hair feels smooth soft and looks amazingly straight but what if the results are totally different for me?
she says it cost around $100 nz.
PLZ HELP ME! im trying to figure out if i want it done!

I have thick, frizzy hair, thats a mix between curly and wavy, and it NEVER looks good. no matter what i put in it when i straighten it, two or three hours later im putting it in a pony tail because its gotten curly again. How much is the Brazilian Keritin Treatment? (because i have not so healthy hair) and, is it worth it?

So....if you grow your hair, it will come out the way it was before chemically straightening it? I'm seriously thinking about this and I'm afraid of what the results will be. Will my hair EVER IN ANY SORT OF WAY go back to the way it first was? Please answer I really need to know.

Hei girls with overprocessed, dry & dameged hair!
Try a Brazilian Keratin Treatment,it will fix your hair & let it silky & smooth. It is really good working on dameged hair, you will be thrilled about results!
