I had Bio Ionic straightening done at Hair Art in Ashfield (Sydney)and it was fantastic. I've got shoulder length hair dyed brown. The whole process took about three hours and lasted really well for almost a year. I have to admit that after about 6 months my natural wave had grown back enough that I needed to use straighteners on the regrowth, but it was significantly less work than before the Bio Ionic. What I loved was that even in high humidity, my hair was still straight and silky smooth, as well as a glossy shine. The downside is that it is seriously straight (even the ends) so you either need to ask them to slightly wave the ends for a more softer natural look, or have a cut that works well with really straight ends. It only cost $250 so was WELL WORTH IT.

My hair is globally colored about 3 months back(Matrix products)The Hairdresser is claiming to give wonderful results.How safe wiil it be?For I have got Shoulder lenght hair. I do not recommend bio ionic straightening my hair was good for the first two days and ater i washed it it looks like someones burnt it with a blow torch as well, its very dry and dead and i have major hair breakage. I am very sad as I had very lonh helthy silky hair to begin with and only wnted bio to reduce my blow wave time from 25-30 mins bw straight myself to 5 mins and not relying on my GHD. but $500 later I realise that going to a cheaper less experienced hairdresser was a terrible idea. Do not do it i regret it so much.

I have concerns about this product and reputability. I had the service done by a stylist after getting help from "Peter" tech support. on July 3rd. Since that fateful day I started to get breakage, I immediately called Peter to ask what happened/what could be done about it. I'm still waiting for the return call! I am also a licensed stylist as well.

BIO IONIC RETEXERIZING is an amazing and life changing service. I have 7 years experience and have also done eduacation and certification classes. I would say that any one who has had a bad experience was probably done by a stylist that was not properly trained. I am a student cosmetologist and have been trained to do the Bio Ionics Hair Straightening system. This is a multi step process which when performed correctly, will do exactly what the Bio Ionic company claims it will do !! It actually repairs your hair as it goes. I have done this process with EXCELLENT results but I am VERY ANAL when it comes to following explicit directions, doing my research and taking extreme care (as any good stylist should)!! If your hair looks fried after this straightening process, your stylist does not know what she is doing ! She is applying too slowly or processing too long, she is not pre-treating (protecting) correctly, nor controlling the product as it processes. Every hair situation is different and the stylist must adjust according to your situation. It is not the system you have to question here. . .it's the stylist you need to be very sure about !! I LOVE this system !!! It is very safe and completely transforms your hair !!!

I had this done about five years ago and it was amazing. It was soft, silky and shiny and grew out slowly. Stupidly I had straightening done again... but the cheap Chinese version, which not only dried out my hair but didn't work at all!

Can anyone remind me how many days you have to keep your hair without washing it? I have finally grown out the damaged hair and I am going to get it done again... the real version!

I had this procedure done at Glamorous Salon in Jax Beach.. The results are truly amazing!!(Try to get the owner to do your service her technique is quick and very pro) Although pricy at first glance, The amount of time and money I've spent on product, flat irons ets., not to mention my valuable time..this is truly an amazing and worthy service.. I get it retouched about every 3 months.

Hi Amani, I've been having it done for the last 3 years and it's been fine on my hair. I don't have very curly hair anyway naturally, it's wavy, but with the straightening it's sleek and easy to manage. You do need to go to a very goo place to get it done, because I got it done once with a trainee hairdresser & she burnt my hair... so ask that the hairdresser is very experienced in it first.

Do not have this done to your hair...I had it done 5 days ago and after washing my hair...it looks like a blow torch was taken to it...now I have to have my long hair cut short to remove all the damage.

Girls you need to really really think about Bio Ionic carefully, working in a salon that has performed them, all the claims are not always true! It is still damaging to the hair (it is a chemical service after all) It is still damaging to the hair and i would not recommend it to any one who has powder lightened (bleached) hair, and as for the claim Madonna has had it done, i don't think so and it is also not suitable on hair that is too short. Here's a better tip buy a good pair of hairstraighteners and a blowdryer and lean how to blow dry it it in the end will be a lot kinder to your hair and your purse cos a Bio Ionic service your looking at around AU$700.
